L'INTRAMONTABILE JEANS!




Da vecchio indumento di fatica a pezzo d’autore: quella del jeans è una lunga storia.
"Blue" ne indica il colore (indaco), "Jeans" la città d’origine (Genes): entrambi i fattori hanno avuto a Genova, più precisamente nel suo porto e nel suo fervore commerciale, la tappa iniziale del loro lungo cammino per le vie del mondo.
Infatti con il nome "blue de Genes" (da qui: blue jeans) si indicava un particolare tipo di telone di colore blu utilizzato sulle navi per vele e per coprire le merci.
Questo particolare tessuto, particolarmente resistente alle intemperie e quindi adatto ai lunghi viaggi dei marinai liguri, veniva fabbricato nella città francese di Nimes, da qui la parola denim (De Nimes).
Però, è solo a partire dal 1850 che il termine jeans viene utilizzato per identificare non il tessuto ma un determinato modello di pantaloni.
1850-In America, viene prodotto un semplice paio di pantaloni da lavoro, resistenti utilizzati dai minatori.
Seconda Guerra Mondiale-Il jeans venne utilizzato anche dall’esercito statunitense.
Anni ’50-Il jeans arriva in Europa, il cinema americano traina il boom del casual e i jeans cominciano a entrare nelle case dei giovani insieme ai primi idoli del cinema e del rock'n'roll come James Dean e Elvis.
Anni '60-In questo periodo il jeans diventa il simbolo della ribellione giovanile, delle bande, della voglia dei giovani di prendere le distanze dall'ipocrisia del mondo adulto.
Anni'70-Le case di moda si impadroniscono del jeans e lo trasformano in un capo anche elegante. In questo periodo il famoso pantalone entra negli armadi dei giovani di tutto il mondo.
Anni' 80-Il pubblico sembra preferire il jeans firmato, un po' per la novità e un po' perché così vuole la tendenza yuppie.
Anni' 90-Ma è da questo periodo in poi che il jeans non è più solo un capo per i giovani e per il tempo libero, ma diventa un oggetto di lusso.
Nonostante siano passati tanti anni è ancora il capo più utilizzato e che meglio si adatta ai vari stili e tendenze.

70s-Fashion houses take over the jeans and turn it into a head also elegant. In this period the famous pants enters the cabinets of young people around the world.
Years' 80-The public seems to prefer jeans signed, a little 'because of the novelty and a bit' because it's the trendy yuppie.
Years' 90-But it is from this time onwards that the jeans is not only a leader for youth and leisure, but it becomes a luxury item.
Despite the passage of so many years is still the most widely used head and best suited to the various styles and trends.
